User Story Template Word Document
One of the main innovations that represents agile development compared to traditional approaches, is in the form of lifting user requirements.
Unlike the traditional approach, in which the “System Design” contains detailed documentation of the behavior and represents the end of the conversations, the agile methodologies make use of the “User Stories”, which focus on defining the that the user needs to do, without describing the how, by what represents the beginning and not the end of the conversations.

Before using the user story template
The design specifications in traditional approaches, contain detailed documentation of the steps to be followed by the user and definitions of graphical interface (screens), that is, describe what the user wants to do and how he wants to do it.
On the other hand, in user stories, the statement represents the beginning of the conversations and not the end. It focuses on defining what the user wants.

The acceptance criteria define the requirements of the product owner on how the system should behave when faced with different events.
High complexity stories should be subdivided into stories of less complexity. A generally accepted measure is to subdivide a story into several, if it is observed that it has more than 4 acceptance criteria.
User stories in Scrum
In the Scrum framework, a way to document the elements of the Product Backlog is not prescribed, however, user stories are the most used form.
In Scrum, the person in charge of elaborating the elements of the Product Backlog is the Product Owner. However, the Scrum Master has the task of helping the Scrum team (Product Owner and developers) to apply techniques so that the elements of the Product Backlog are clear and concise. One of those ways, can be helping them write user stories.

The statement of user history
The statement is composed of the Role, Action and Result. The statement does not describe details of how the action that the user needs will be executed.
For a better classification and organization a code can be added to each story, to help its univocal identification within the project.
Next to the description of each of these elements:
Identifier (ID) of the story: Code that uniquely identifies the story in the Project that is being developed. The format must be chosen by the team.
Role: It is the role that the user is playing when using the functionality that is being described. It must be as specific as possible, describing the role or actor that is performing. The statement can be written as follows: I as a [Role], Performing the role of [Role], As a [Role], among others. For example:
I as a registered client.
Performing the role of registered customer.
As a registered customer.
Feature / Feature: Represents the function that the role wants or needs to do in the system that is being developed. You can differentiate between mandatory or optional actions, using the word you can or need to describe the action. For example:
I need to search for products by categories.
I can select a category to see the number of products associated with it.
Reason / Results: What the role needs to accomplish when executing the action. This is the result of executing the action from the point of view of the role. This point can be optional, because history can be documented only with the definition of the role and the action (without defining the consequence).
Once these components are defined, the story phrase is established as follows:
I as a [Role], I need [Description of functionality], for the purpose of [Description of the consequence].
This is equivalent to the descriptive title of the story, which can be used to reference the product stack, along with its code.
The following variants can be applied in the role definition:
As a [Role], I need [Description of functionality], for the purpose of [Description of the consequence].
Performing the role of [Role], I need [Description of functionality], with the purpose of [Description of the consequence].
Or also vary between mandatory or optional in the description of the functionality:
As a [Role], I can [Description of functionality], for the purpose of [Description of the consequence].
The description of the consequence can also be omitted:
As a [Role], I can [Function description].
I like a [Role], I can [Description of functionality].
